[ BACKTAGGING ] Considering I'm always gonna backtag, absolutely. Always. Forever.

[ FOURTHWALLING ] Not a fan, Bob. All-knowing in-character stuff, sure, but don't tell Rafe he's fictional.

IC PREFS

[ PHYSICAL CONTACT ] Minor touches will be tolerated but Rafe's assumption is that if you're making a physical contact you're either ( a ) flirting or ( b ) preparing to punch him. Because that's the logic he uses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[ MIND-READING ] He has zero defenses against it so his brain is fair game. However, if he finds out it's happened he is going to be.... Not happy.
[ FLIRTING ] Do it. Sex and physicality is no big deal for Rafe and if he appreciates what he's looking at, he'll let you know and has no problem hearing it in kind.
[ KISSING/HUGGING ] Kissing is cool if in a flirting/sexual way, but he is a hundred percent not a hugger. Otherwise, he's going to shove you off and ask what the hell you think you're doing.
[ ROMANCE ] Yes — but. As may be obvious from above, Rafe is a one-night-stand up to a couple-weeks-fling kind of guy. He's a stunted potato when it comes to anything past the physical so if you're expecting starry-eyed goopy stuff, you should probably shop somewhere else. Rafe has a strictly "business associates with benefits" mindset and moving past that will require a metric tonnage of patience.
[ INJURING ] I'm all about roughing up my boy, shoot me a line and we'll talk about how much.
[ KILLING ] I'm not against it — so again, shoot me that line and we'll chat.

CRAU INFO

When including previous Ryslig CR, Rafe is a monster. Literally, physically, head-to-toe fully a monster. For specifics' sake, he is a lich which is a type of magically reanimated undead and his particular transformation is in the style of a bog body. Because of this and what else Rafe experienced in that game, some topics that may come up in threads include body dysmorphia and prior character death (from his own transformation/continuing adjustment), a medical phobia/trauma response (from a particular event), and having murdered NPCs because a key mechanic was having to eat people – though this I promise this last will never come up with any gory or graphic detail. Whenever any of these topics (or any other triggering topic!) comes up, they will be warned for in the header of a tag or in OOC communication. If any of these topics is a no-go for you, please please PLEASE let me know on this post and I will make sure to avoid those in tags with you. Alternatively if you aren't about threading with a monster-fied character at all, that's also 100% fair – again just let me know and I'll refrain.

Aside from unsettling conversations, being a lich also involves some particular powers with the main one being organic and inorganic decay. Put simply, Rafe can touch an object and absorb its energy which results in an accelerated withering/decaying process (ex: a piece of metal would corrode and rust and be eaten away, a piece of clothing would fray and go threadbare then disintegrate). An extension of this magic means Rafe is also, with prolonged contact, capable of shutting down a victim's senses, numbing sensation or control of limbs, inflicting terror or fear, or bestowing insomnia or nightmares. ICly, Rafe still has many issues with using these abilities on people/animals and it will likely remain a rare occurrence; any offensive use of such will not last longer than a hour. OOCly, this will never happen in a thread without prior heads-up and communication but if you would prefer this never happen in a thread with Rafe, again let me know on this post and we'll skip it entirely, no harm, no foul.
